Pineapple Ham Balls
Served with your favorite meat and a salad to make a
complete delicious meal
3 cups ground fully cooked ham
1/2 pound ground pork
1 cup soft bread crumbs
2 eggs well beaten
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 can (20)ounces) sliced pineapple
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup vinegar (apple cider vinegar is best)
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
IN a bowl, combine
ham , pork , bread crumbs, eggs and pepper mixing well then chill for
several hours.
Form into 10 balls
and set aside, Drain the pineapple, reserving 1/2 cup of the juice
Place the pineapple
juice that was reserved into a saucepan with sugar vinegar and dry mustard:
cook over low heat stirring constantly until the sugar is dissolved
Arrange pineapple
slices in the bottom of an ungreased 13in x 9in x 2in baking pan. Place a
ham ball on each slice of pineapple. Pour the brown sugar and
pineapple sauce over the ham balls and bake in a 350 degree oven for 45
minute or until the ham balls are golden brown
remove from the
baking pan to a serving dish with the ham balls on top of the pineapple
slices, pour the thickened sauce over the ham balls.
serve warm enjoy :)
